Aaron established Caramel Creative in 2004, to bridge the gap that he believes exists between the creative process and practical market application. He brings an extensive knowledge of graphic design and marketing to the role of creative director.
With seventeen years experience in the industry, Aaron is instrumental in the creative direction and professional execution of Caramel’s projects. His passion is to work closely with clients on concept development & design, brand positioning, marketing and strategic development. His ambition for Caramel Creative is to consolidate its reputation as one of Melbourne’s leading creative consultancies.
Away from the studio Aaron enjoys travel, kite surfing, cycling and savouring the best of Melbourne’s food, wine and live music scenes.
Rowan comes from a family of wordsmiths. His core skills lie in big picture strategic planning, idea generation, campaign management and clear articulation.

Following an illustrious and dynamic career both here and overseas, Amanda arrived in Melbourne in January 2012 to begin her role as Studio Manager with Caramel Creative. An accomplished, results-driven Project Manager with 8 years design and communications experience, we are delighted to have someone of her calibre at the controls.
In her most recent position as Group Studio Manager for HH Global (London), Amanda worked with some of the world’s most respected and valuable brands, including Google, Chevrolet, Siemens, Intel, Nokia, Barclays Wealth and Estee Lauder. Her ability to interact with clients is complemented by her comprehensive knowledge of brand and project management development and implementation.
Amanda was born in France and has lived all over the world, thanks to her Dad’s diplomatic career. She is fluent in French and Spanish, and speaks basic Indonesian. She is a live music junkie and has attended well over 500 gigs in a dozen cities over the last 20 years. She also remains true to Caramel’s recruitment policy being a dedicated foodie and now embarking on a culinary challenge to try every restaurant in Melbourne. Sounds like she’ll be around for a while.
Tim spent time working in both New York and London before returning to this side of the world and settling in Melbourne.
This international agency experience has exposed him to a broad range of industries as diverse as sport, luxury, finance and broadcasting.
Specialising in client relationship management, Tim’s skill set also covers strategy, project and campaign management, as well as marketing and brand communications.
Prior to joining Caramel Creative, Tim was at Designworks Melbourne directing branding projects for the National Museum of Australia, University of Melbourne, ISPT, Colorpak, and Vue de Monde.
Other favourite clients have included Lloyds Banking Group, Vertu, Sport England and Harlequins RFC.
Tim is a keen photographer, and is particularly drawn to urban landscapes and architecture. A country boy at heart, he also likes to get down to the coast or out into the country whenever possible.
Rusty is a digital designer who combines big agency experience with a design studio attitude of collaboration and thought. He loves finding the perfect balance between beautiful aesthetics, communication, functionality and technology to help clients achieve success. He has worked with George Patterson Y&R, JWT, Samuelson Talbot and Australian Centre for the Moving Image amongst others. His qualifications include BA Communications, Advanced Diploma Multimedia and Grad. Dip. Graphic Design.
When he’s not at Caramel, Rusty indulges in his love of performing. He plays guitar in a confusing progressive rock/pop band, appears in comedy roles on the ABC and he has done Shakespeare in the Vines 3 years in a row. He likes to cycle and eat good food (though not at the same time). He has travelled to all continents except Antarctica and Africa…they’re on the list. An ambitious type of guy, he really wants to sing Todo Africa to an audience of hungry wild lions to see if it calms them down. We suggest he goes to Antartica first.
Melbourne born and bred, Krystal graduated with a BA (Higher Distinction) in Animation and Interactive Media from RMIT Melbourne in 2007. She has had a colourful and diverse career since then. She has worked in-house for retail stores as a print/digital/motion graphics designer and video editor. Prior to joining Caramel she was self-employed in motion design working with start-up companies, fashion labels and recreational racing tracks.
Krystal has lived and travelled extensively in Europe. In 2011 she spent time in India for a yoga retreat and got herself super healthy. At Caramel Krystal specialises in motion graphics and video, but her favourite pastime is animating abstract images, tessellating geometric shapes, morphing platonic solids…sound confusing? Don’t worry, Krystal knows what she’s doing.

Luke has a Bachelor of Communication Design from Swinburne University. One of the longest serving members of the Caramel team, he has established himself as the go-to man for branding and print design. His extensive knowledge and experience with many different formats and materials ensures he has the ability to deliver effective solutions for any project.
Off duty, Luke likes to live life to the full, pursuing his many interests. He is captain of the Collegians Club XVIII football team and a sports nut in general, playing tennis and golf socially, and he never misses a Hawks game in the AFL. To relax and unwind he enjoys nothing more than getting away to the Howqua River to camp and fish for trout. In general he is a revered legend in the many circles he graces.
Justin brings a love of photography and graphic design to Caramel Creative. It’s no surprise really. His Dad was a professional photographer and Justin has grown up surrounded by creative influences. In his time off he enjoys creating art from a variety of mediums.
Justin brings considerable print design experience to the studio, having worked on magazines, brochures, clothing and product design for clients such as Honda, Michelin, Fosters and Monster.
Justin enjoys music, bike riding and hanging out with his friends. He’s also an avid snowboarder and has spent over a year in the US and Canada working at the snowfields of Utah and Banff.
Adding to the international flavour of our team is Irishman Des Fleming. His skill with the art of communication has seen him bring an added dimension to the copywriting and branding services that Caramel offer. Des’ background is theatre, film and television. He continues to work as an actor, writer and producer.
Des loves to travel and has done so extensively in Europe and North America. Like most Caramels, he likes to eat well. He plays soccer, cycles regularly and when he feels the need to test his patience, he heads to the golf course. Often combining business with pleasure, he is also a regular visitor to the city’s many cinemas and theatres.

Since graduating from the University of Plymouth with first class honours in 1998, Steve has had a dynamic and award-winning international career. Having gained experience at leading digital and multimedia companies Workhouse Ltd (UK) and Digital Pictures, he turned freelance in 2005. Since then he has increasingly specialised in custom building and tailoring standout interactive digital media applications. He has worked on projects for BBC, ITV, M & C Saatchi, Tribal DDB, Atomic Media, MCM Entertainment, ABC News Media and, of course, Caramel Creative.
Steve moved to Melbourne in early 2001, where he quickly fell in love with the lifestyle. He likes nothing more than a 10k run or a nice long bike ride around the tremendous inner city bike paths. A dedicated foodie, he feels right at home in Melbourne, and can often be found in the kitchen cooking with his home grown herbs and vegies. Steve is an amateur astronomer, he speaks French and Spanish, mainly to his cats, and he plays guitar, badly, by his own admission.
